IAB Canada is thrilled to announce the release of our Guide to Consent Management Platforms (CMPs). CMPs are an essential tool that allows publishers and brands to communicate their privacy practices more openly, while giving consumers enhanced control over their privacy preferences. This key element of the eco-system also links consumer choice to the ad tech universe.
As we work to release the TCF here in Canada, under the IAB Tech Lab’s Global Privacy Framework, and continue to focus on cookie depreciation and what it means for our industry one thing is clear – there will always be a role for consent adaptation via a CMP.
The purpose of this guide is to provide information on this technology to the online advertising industry, and outlines: the CMP’s key purpose, critical components, individual features, options that are already available in the Canadian marketplace, and what to look for in a CMP that aligns to your business, while exploring the vast landscape of service offerings.
Also, within our Knowledge Centre you can find full recordings of our “IAB Canada Spotlight on Consent Management Platforms”. These useful presentations by TCF approved CMPs will provide you with all of the details you need on some of the leading product offerings in this space.
